Ooo it's Friday, which means if you are a 9 to 5-er like me (stop singing Dolly Parton now), the weekend is upon you (nearly) and good times are a-rolling. Huzzah! I personally am off to see a play version of one of my favourite books - Angus Thongs & Full Frontal Snogging. It is of course a book for 12 year old girls but I care not. I shall be annoyingly tall in my front and centre seats & chortle mightily until I need the piddly piddly department. I obviously need to counteract these juvenile instances with moments of chic sophistication and elegant repartee. That's where my beloved Aston come in...
Aston ~ Turn Me On/Titanium:
I'll tell you what turns me on about Aston shall I? (Musically that is, although Dan - phwoar, etc). They have the ability to literally take any track that has had massive impact on global charts and turn it into a fully orchestral, classical cover that brings new life and energy to a well known song. They make it seem ever so effortless & ensure it's visually engaging too (their Monster Symphony video has to be seen to be believed. Amarzing). They always look like they are having a jolly amazing time and thoroughly enjoying what they do. And what I love most about their current situation is that they can thrust a new video onto youtube (as they have done with the above) and within a few days, it has tens of thousands of views :) BRILLIANT. The world is falling for Aston's charms and this is as it should be. Their seamless blend of Turn Me On and Titanium is full of drama & passion, energy & a vibrant spirit. It knows when to hold back and when to explode in a percussive drums, sumptuous piano and swirling strings. Just gorgeous. Now can I have a Madonna Medley next? (This must include Frozen, Like A Prayer and Give Me All UR Luvin).
(PS read the comments on youtube. The response to StaplerMassacre is amaze)!
