Video Breakdown: Auryn vs Ola...

Auryn ~ Don't Give Up My Game:

• Ooo the video starts with the boys all tuckered out and sleeping off what can only be presumed to be the effects of the night before. Studly Alvaro has managed to pull a fine Spanish senorita. To be fair so has Blas but Alvaro is the only one holding hands. David is just touching his crotch :O
• 12 hours earlier... Alvaro is on the beach singing about the girl of his dreams. Meanwhile some ladies are driving to Utah. Or Las Vegas. Probably Las Vegas unless they are celebrating their last hours of freedom before becoming sister wives :D
• The boys are having some exuberant hi-jinx on the beach. Nicking each others hats, horsing around. That sort of thing. Lads, eh?!
• In typical US teen movie fashion, some bloke pulls alongside the ladeez and does some class A flirting. What a smoothie :)
• More singing on the beach for the boys. I sense a "when worlds collide" party moment coming on anytime soon...
• It's into the camper van for some road trip enjoyment. Meanwhile, in other news, the ladeez seem to have got a flat tyre. OH NO! How will this get resolved?! :P
• In a twist NO ONE saw coming, the Auryn fella me lads roll up and offer their vast mechanical wisdom. Which basically involves flirting, while the ladeez flick their conditioned hair about.
• They all pile into the camper van, which might be overloading it a bit. Oh it turns out it is overloading it a bit because it conks out on them. Will they ever get to Utah?!
• Phew. They have broken down not too far from the beach so they are able to have a wild and raucous party there instead. It's no Utah but it will do :D
• There is lots of jumping around and hands in the air. Which is very appropriate because that's exactly what this propulsive track makes you want to do :)
• I can confirm that a cheeky snog happens at around 3m25s and shortly after the floating lanterns are sent soaring into the sky. Very Disney's Tangled!
• Another cheeky snog finishes the clip. That Alvaro is a rambunctious one isn't he?
• All in all, another classic boy band clip for a great, sing-a-long pop dance anthem :)

Ola ~ I'm In Love:

• Can I just start by saying that I bloody love this song? Well I do.
• The video starts with a dominatrix type woman who has poor Ola strapped to the bed. Well I say 'poor Ola' - that may very well be his sort of thing :)
• I take it back. It doesn't seem to be his sort of thing as she's a right psycho bunny boiler. She's right in there with torture devices and dousing him with petrol. What about the foreplay luv?!
• She seems to be shoving some rag in his mouth. That's not going to help him sing the delicious chorus is it?
• Not to worry, chums, Ola is out and about as a patchwork person for the first chorus. It's almost like he's a manifestation of everything Psycho Bunny Boiler wants him to be!
• He rather eerily glides through the neighbourhood with some great close ups of him looking a bit perturbed - then he spots some lasses freestyle dancing on the corner and he perks right up, bless him!
• Verse two - a talking dog. There is a talking dog. Meanwhile I have decided that the eerie gliding represents Ola being pulled against his will. I'm dead good with symbolism, I am :)
• The insanity continues as he passes up a free massage and seems to have pulled a gun from nowhere. Perhaps it is one of those guns that is really a lighter and he's going to take up smoking?
• A mad clown runs by. I'm not really sure what happens with this because I don't like clowns so I skip to the guy in a suit asleep under a silhouette painting of an angel. How Highway to Heaven!!
• Ola nabs a coffee for some poor unsuspecting passer by. This actually happened to me once in NYC - I was crossing the road, and some dude grabbed my venti white mocha right out my hand and jogged off with it. The cad! Et tu, Ola?!
• Some gang members are judging Ola's outfit. It may be a bit "out there" but it's haute couture and they are judging him dressed in what Americans charmingly call wife beaters...!
• I won't spoil the ending but lets just say it doesn't end up any happier for Ola than the video started. His new haircut is amazing though...
