Oh my giddy aunt (something my mum used to say when she was excited that has stuck with me, even though I don't know what it means). If you are looking for a pop anthem to sizzle up these balmy summer nights then Sabrina Carpenter's radiant Let Me Move You (from the Netflix movie Work It) is the groove you want to get into. Some of my favourite pop songs are those which just celebrate the joy of being in love, whilst absolutely being a love letter to the genre. Think Whitney's So Emotional, Janet Jackson's When I Think Of You and/or Debbie Gibson's Only In My Dreams. Sabrina blends 70s funk with 80s disco whilst infusing a smidge of contemporary electro to craft an exhilarating and effusive finger click gem. She invites you to succumb to the rhythms of the song as much as the narrative encourages two lovers to surrender to the passion simmering between them. That chorus, with its "1-2-3" refrain is so infernally catchy that you hear it once and then it is stuck in your head all the live long day. Get your best dance move on and fling yourself around with gay abandon, like no-one is watching because (again, as my mum used to nonsensically say) this is a right bobby dazzler!
