Dave Patten ~ Just For Me:
- I have already reviewed this very good Dave Patten song here, so you might just want to bring yourself up to date!
- Dave is on his laptop singing his heart out via SKYPE to his lady friend. This is very economical of him as he avoids costly roaming charges on his cell (or mobile if you are reading this in my native Angleterre) and gets to show off his guns. Savvy romanticising!
- Dave's lady friend is content just lounging around, doing flirty manouevres like brushing her hair out her face and basically not putting in as much effort as young Dave is. The princess!
- To be fair, they seem genuinely smitten with each other. Those early flirtations of love where you laugh and giggle and put a dab of aftershave behind your knee and you don't know why are butterlies-in-the-tummy fantastic aren't they?
- I'm a bit confused though - while Dave is still skyping his heart out (with an amazing quiff it has to be said), his lady friend is on the phone, in a very supportive push up bra. Perhaps they are having what my mother mortifyingly refers to as a 3-way. HOW DOES SHE EVEN KNOW??
- In the rehearsal room, the brass section are assembling. This is not a euphemism! It is a statement of fact and a glorious wall of horny sound!
- Still in the rehearsal room, Dave is leading the band in a rousing run through of Just for Me. How convenient! It does sound bloody good though doesn't it?!
- I love how the band and Dave are all funky and getting down with their bad selves. In fact if you turn the sound down momentarily at 1m35s they could almost be jamming out to Bohemian Rhapsody, Wayne's World style. Phenom!
- While Dave and the boys are busy burning off calories in the rehearsal room, the ladeez are out on the town and dressed to the nines. Whatever that means...
- Dave and the boys have decided that their rehearsal clobber is not good enough for a night on the town, so have gussied themselves up and look quite presentable. They are setting up to play an outdoor session and are therefore wearing sensible pullovers and cardigans. Rock and roll :D
- The song seems to be inspiring lurve all around. People are bumping and grinding in sweet romantic ways against each other all over the place. Plus Skype Girl has arrived and is looking a right bobby dazzler...
- The appearance of red cups give it more of a frat party vibe than I would personally like, but you really can't beat a good roof top jam session even if you do prefer a nice glass of wine :)
- If this video was in 3d (and it really should be), you would have your eye taken out by the trombone action at 3m50s...
- Kissy von smoochingtons are in store at the end. Aw, bless, etc. Now go buy the single...
