In Friday We Trust: Armand Deluxe ft Sir Paul ~ Love In Stereo

I love new music from Monsieur Armand of Deluxe and his most trusty vocalist, Sir Paul. Their sparkling, effusive music is so easy to write about - words come gushing out like an aural orgasm of joy everytime I hear their very fine indeed collaborations. Having had them Touch Me repeatedly until I was bursting with One Love, the dynamic duo are now back with a stunning new track that demands you express your extreme pleasure in something more than mono; indeed, they want to hear your Love In Stereo. And thank the gods that they do - for Love In Stereo is their most wholly realised pop explosion yet. That's not to say that One Love and Touch Me weren't immersed in pop goodness because they absolutely were - however, it felt that their roots were in dance with a shimmering pop sheen and that was entirely magnificent. This track feels like it was caressed into life as an out and out pop tune, then given a glittering dance vibe to make it shine bright like a diamond. A positively giddy beat underscores the song whilst prancing synths and fuzzy sound effects create a deliciously textured feel to the song. Sir Paul (and he has most definitely earned his honorific) gives a delightfully endearing vocal all about realising what you have, not waiting for something better to come along. He's sincere, charming, joyful and euphoric in his singing, really giving the song personality and charisma. And oh my days, that glorious chorus - once you've heard it, the darn thing will remain in your brain all the live long day. It's a living, breathing work of beauty, so catchy that it probably was produced in Hogwarts with an enchantment spell attached to it. "Put me on/I'll be your headphones/I wanna turn up the love in stereo" may be the sweetest, most romantic message of the year - who hasn't wanted to scream about their paramour from the rooftops as they get all immersed in a new love affair? Clever lyrics create such an responsive atmosphere that it's incredibly difficult for the listener not to become fully immersed in the song and emerge totally besotted and smitten. Play loud, play often but just play it :) (Out to buy for your very own collection on August 12th! Hurrah)
