- 01 ~ Quite rightly, there is that sort of old movie countdown at the beginning of the clip. No need to leaf through lengthy lexicons to explain this but there is a cheeky little thrill in going "here comes 3" as 4 gets erased from the screen. True fact > 2 and 1 would have come next but I think they were trying to save money :D
- 02 ~ Crikey O'Reilly's trousers! The boys, as suspected, go to the most opulent cinema ever. No rubbing shoulders with common folk for them! No working out whether it's better to shove your bottom in people's faces or give them a little crotch magic as you squeeze past to go the bathroom in the boring bit! No sirree Bob! It's all little lamps and stripey popcorn bags. I bet Mark likes salted :) Anyway, I can't really see Lachie's tie pin but I can pretty much bet it's stunning...
- 03 ~ The boys are watching a bit of 3D. I have decided that they are probably Monsters University men over Despicable Me 2. It's all so real that Mike reaches out and touches it. Ooo, I bet a 3D version of this preview would have been just as life like!
- 04 ~ Mike's hair gets more lustrous and immaculately amazing with each album release. I mean he really should be taking over from Cheryl Cole in those L'Oreal adverts. Can just see it now - straightening his bow tie, doing a hair flick at the camera and saying "L'Oreal for men. Because I'm worth it too". Brillz.
- 05 ~ Love that Timmy uses a straw to drink his soda. I too refuse to put my lips on things (like bottles and cans) where I'm not sure whose grubby fingers have been on them. Also, if it's an alcoholic soda that he's sneaked in (the little scamp), then sipping through a straw will help you get hammered quicker. Essential for if the movie is terrible (Pacific Rim, I'm looking at you. "Today. The Apocalypse. Is CANCELLED" Oh dear God)...
- 06 ~ The blue jacket look is a bit reminiscent of The Jersey Boys (only their jackets were red so a bit Butlins really) but gives that vintage look that the classic songs on the album will demand. When they all do the action jump shot, Darren does the most manly of faces out of all of them! If there was sound to this leap, I'm fairly sure there would have been a manly grunt as well :) I bet he could get the top off my lemonade bottle without any problems...
- 07 ~ Popcorn fight! I hope they are going to clean this up after themselves! Mark throws it directly at the camera, the rebel, and then does a bit of a shoulder shimmy in his chair. I love a bit of chair dancing I do. When you are feeling a bit lazy, or have had one too many Rekorderligs in the sun, then a chair shimmy can be your way of joining in the party. PS, it goes without saying that Mark did indeed look amazing while having a shimmy.
- 08 ~ *NOT PICTURED* The Press Release informs us that there will be some original songs on the album as well. Thrillybots :) Higher definitely showed that their songwriting craft can yield exquisite results :)
- 09 ~ Lachie's laugh! Oh my :) This may well be the most down and dirty laugh since Sid James of the Carry On/Bless This House films. Love it. Rewind. Repeat. Chuckle along with a deep throaty guffaw :)
- 10 ~ The actual music! Accompanying the preview is what is most likely to be the title track of the album, Saturday Night At The Movies. There's a certain thrill about hearing a brand new tune from the fellas and this certainly doesn't disappoint. It's buoyant, chipper and the perfect showcase for their seamless harmonies & expressive vocals. Delicious...
