Paola Iezzi - Lovenight

I don't really know much about Paola Iezzi, but that's OK - her sparkling new single, Lovenight (produced by Steve Anderson), takes me to such giddy and exotic highs that I'm lost in the music (caught in her trap) and a slave to the intoxicating rhythms. It doesn't even matter that Lovenight is sung in her native Italian - I'm all for an inclusive Europe and the passionate intonation of her singing breaks down any language barriers and leaves you in no doubt that this is a deliciously steamy pop-romp that anyone with a modicum of taste can enjoy. Surrounding her evocative vocal delivery is a swathe of heart racing percussion, scintillating synths and electrifying electro flourishes that create a beautifully textured wall of sound, fueled by tingling anticipation so palpable it will consume every fibre of your being. There is a glorious crescendo of music right before Paola launches into the exhilarating chorus; a wave of pop majesty so pure that it set your senses alight and has you flinging your arms to the sky in a dance of wild abandon. Thanks to a hugely addictive refrain and that pulsing groove, Paola conjures up images of those balmy nights we've all enjoyed in exotic locales where love is an adventure and anything seems possible. I love songs that not only stir memories but feel like they will be the soundtrack of experiences yet to happen - Lovenight is just such a song. It's light years more enjoyable than most of the cookie cutter pop you hear at the moment on radio; this alone should have you spinning around to it's wild charms but the fact that it actually is a stirring dance anthem for the ages should have you rushing to add this to your essential collection. Brava Ms. Iezzi - I can't wait for the album :)
